As is usually the case around here, if we ask, we shall receive. In this case, we asked you for information on the photo to the left, which we received from an anonymous donor (anonymous in that we forgot to take note of who they were, but that’s neither here nor there).
Petty Fessette told us the photo was from the Rundlett Junior High School Scroll, the school newspaper, taken in 1957. The people in the photo were, as you may have guessed, in the junior high band. Clearly that was less of a social stigma in the ’50s.
Patty offered to send the names, but given the number of people in the photo, we didn’t want her to risk getting carpal tunnel syndrome. That worked out because George Harrington scanned the photo and names in himself. Check that out – team effort!
Remember, eye strain is never any fun, so take a break between lines of names. Or get someone to read them aloud.
