Concord Seniors Shared a Laugh
Submitted by Karen Billings on May 29, 2008 - 7:35pm.On Wednesday May 28, 2008 the Concord Recreation Department presented a musical comedy show with performer Bucky Lewis at the Senior Program located at 48 Airport Road. The seniors who attended were treated to sing-a-longs, live music, hilarious stand up and character comedy, spontaneous audience interactive routines and a delicious pot luck luncheon. A great time was had by all!

Youth Summer Surf Clinic
Submitted by ymca44 on May 21, 2008 - 2:06pm.Ride the waves! Concord Family YMCA is offering a Summer Surf Clinic starting August 4th through August 8th 8:00am-4:00 pm. This clinic is broken up into 2 age groups, 9-12yrs and 13-17yrs. Each day we will meet at the Y and set sail to Hampton Beach, learn about the ocean, paddling, how to control a surf board and catch a wave! Surf boards and wet suits are available, register soon, the Surf Clinic is limited to 12 participants.
Weekly fee per session:
$275.00 members
$285 Program members
$300.00 Community members
Summer Triathlon Clinic for Pre teens and teens

This exciting clinic will feature some of the nations best athletes to train and educate those interested completing a Triathlon. Everyday you will be challenged by biking on roads or trails, swimming in pools. Lakes or Rivers, running on a track, in the woods, or on the road. Learn about nutrition, strategies, and fundamentals of training. All levels welcome. Mark your calendar- a full triathlon will occur on Friday of the week.
