Huckabee on air

Mike Huckabee began airing his first ad in New Hampshire today. In the 30-second spot, called "A Better America," Huckabee talks about his childhood and how today's leaders should leave the country better than they found it. While Huckabee talks, the screen flashes some of his accomplishments as governor of Arkansas: health care coverage for 70,000 uninsured children, new jobs, school improvements.

So far, Huckabee has run ads only in Iowa. One featured Chuck Norris. Another talked about his Christian credentials. Today, he began airing a new one there called "Secure Borders," about his plan to curb illegal immigration.

Huckabee is also Newsweek's cover boy. And the subject of a National Review editorial.
